To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $1.43 million contract with prime contractor Larson Construction Co. of Chippewa Falls for a project replacing the bridge carrying WIS 93 over Trout Creek south of Eleva in the Trempealeau County town of Albion. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, June 26.
Built in 1958, the existing structure has reached the end of its service life. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to:
- Replace the bridge.
- Replace the pavement on both sides of the structure.
- Replace guardrail.
- Place new pavement markings.
During construction, WIS 93 will remain open to a single lane of traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals at the bridge.
Construction is scheduled for completion in November.
