Start of Trout Creek Bridge replacement project on WIS 93 delayed

Release date: June 23, 2023

The start of a project replacing the bridge carrying WIS 93 over Trout Creek south of Eleva in the Trempealeau County town of Albion has been pushed from Monday, June 26, to Thursday, June 29.

Built in 1958, the existing structure has reached the end of its service life. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to:

  • Replace the bridge.
  • Replace the pavement on both sides of the structure.
  • Replace guardrail.
  • Place new pavement markings.

During construction, WIS 93 will remain open to a single lane of traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals at the bridge.

Larson Construction Co. of Chippewa Falls is the prime contractor on the $1.43 million project. Construction is scheduled for completion in November.
