The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public involvement meeting to provide information to the public about a rehabilitation project proposed for the bridge carrying US 12/WIS 27 over Coffee Creek south of WIS 54 in the Jackson County city of Black River Falls.
-
When: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18.
-
Where: Brockway Town Hall, 236 Gebhardt Road, Black River Falls
The deck on the Coffee Creek Bridge is showing signs of deterioration. To address this, WisDOT is proposing to:
- Replace the bridge deck, parapets and sidewalk.
- Replace the concrete approach pavement on both sides of the structure.
During construction, US 12/WIS 27 will remain open to traffic, but work will be staged to allow single-lane bidirectional traffic.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2027, but work could be advanced to 2025 if funding becomes available.
The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. Deaf or hard-of-hearing persons needing an interpreter should contact the Wisconsin Telecommunication Relay System (dial 711) no later than three working days prior to the meeting.
