The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss improvements on WIS 56 from WIS 131 to Fancy Creek bridge in Richland County.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Viola Municipal Building, 106 W. Wisconsin Street, Viola. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
This project is designed to resurface WIS 56 between WIS 131 and Fancy Creek bridge. Additional improvements include widened paved shoulders, new curb and gutter, and updated curb ramps. Construction is scheduled for 2027.
