AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction
AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction permits the flexible definition of a project and its associated funding requirements to track and manage project cost information. The system supports preparation of the Engineer’s estimate for Federal Aid highway construction projects, allows projects to be combined into proposals for bid letting, and permits the selection of a group of proposals for a bid letting package. It also aids in advertising bids, tracking plan and proposal holders, processing bid information, evaluating bids and making award decisions.
The department implemented the Preconstruction module in October 2016. This module replaced the Trns*Port PES/LAS applications. Individuals that need access to AWP Preconstruction would include WisDOT and Consultant Designers who create engineering estimates as part of a PS&E submittal.
AASHTOWare Project Construction and Materials
The department plans to roll out these modules following a phased schedule. First, we plan to implement the Construction portion of the system followed by the Materials portion at a later date. AASHTOWare Project Construction and Materials™ manages the construction administration process spanning all levels of construction, enabling personnel to progress a contract and its supporting documentation from award through finalization. Construction engineers use the system to manage awarded contracts by allowing the entry of daily work progress diaries, item quantity usage, contract modifications and pay estimate generation. Pay estimates are transferred to the accounts payable department for contractor payment. Construction management personnel can complete contract status reporting, progress payments, DBE/WBE reporting, funding participation allocation, and project finalization management.
AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights and Labor
Another module that the department plans to roll out is AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights and Labor. Development of the system is currently underway. The AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights and Labor module allows the department to receive and process the data required to meet federal and state requirements for civil rights and labor compliance activities.
