These businesses not only provide economic and social vitality to our communities, they help us accomplish our purchasing objectives.
In keeping with this commitment, the WisDOT Supplier Diversity Program is designed to provide new or expanded opportunities for qualified MBE and DVB owned businesses to sell their goods and services to the department. WisDOT's Supplier Diversity program is different from the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in that the federal DBE program targets highway construction spending to minority and women-owned businesses, while the Supplier Diversity program relates to the procurement of supplies and services with state funding.

It is our objective to identify and include qualified MBE and DVB businesses in the purchases of products and services required by WisDOT and its staff. We welcome all potential vendors who can fulfill our purchasing and technology requirements, on a competitive basis, to introduce their businesses to us.

Para mantener este compromiso, se ha diseñado el Programa para Empresas Propiedad de Minorías (MBE, por sus siglas en inglés) del Departamento de Transporte de Wisconsin con el objetivo de ofrecer un mayor número de oportunidades u orientadas a un público más amplio a aquellos negocios cualificados que son propiedad de grupos minoritarios para que vendan sus productos y servicios al departamento. El programa MBE del Depart. de Transporte se diferencia del Programa para las Empresas de Negocios en Desventaja (DBE, por sus siglas en inglés) en que el DBE federal tiene como principal objetivo inversiones destinadas a la construcción de autopistas de los negocios cuyos propietarios son de origen étnico minoritario o mujeres, mientras que el programa del MBE está relacionado con la adquisición de suministros y servicios con financiamiento estatal.
