Location
The project is located on US 10 near its intersection with County E south of the city of River Falls in the Pierce County town of Oak Grove.
Overview
The intersection has a high crash rate. To improve safety, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:
- Reconstruct approximately 1,000 feet of US 10 east of the County E intersection to lower the state highway's vertical curve by about four feet to increase the sight distance.
- Place new pavement markings.
Real Estate
- The project will require permanent right of way and temporary limited easements. Real estate acquisition is set to begin in August 2023.
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2025.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, the US 10/County E intersection will be closed.
- Detour: WIS 29/35 and WIS 65.
