WIS 95 (County A to 250 feet west of WIS 93), city of Arcadia - Trempealeau County

​​Location

The proposed improvement project is on WIS 95, starting at County A (North 3rd Street) and ending 250 feet west of WIS 93 in the Trempealeau County city of Arcadia.

Overview​​

The pavement on this segment of WIS 95 is showing signs of deterioration. In addition, the utility infrastructure is aging, and there are substandard curb ramps and railroad crossings and inadequate drainage. To address these, the following improvements are proposed:

• Removing a portion of the existing pavement on WIS 95 and placing new asphalt.
• Replacing curb, gutter and sidewalk where needed.
• Upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to meet Americans With Disabilities Act standards as necessary.
• Relocating light poles and making curb extensions to accommodate curb ramp work.
• Repairing and sealing the deck on the Trempealeau River Bridge.
• Making improvements to the railroad crossing between Grant and Commercial streets.

In addition, the city plans to install a new storm sewer crossing near Mill Street and make sanitary sewer and water main upgrades at the WIS 95 intersections with St. Joseph Avenue and Oak Street.

Traffic Impacts

​During construction:

• WIS 95 will be closed and detoured for bridge, railroad crossing and utility work.
• Proposed detour map
• WIS 95 will remain open during resurfacing work, but motorists will encounter lane closures controlled by flagging.
