I-94, Newville Road and Rock Lake Road Bridges, Jefferson County
Project overview
The existing I-94 westbound bridges at Newville Road and Rock Lake Road are in need of replacement.
The work to be performed under this contract includes the demolition of the existing I-94 westbound underpass structures at Newville Road and Rock Lake Road, construction of new I-94 westbound underpass structures and approaches at Newville Road and Rock Lake Road, reconstruction of Newville Road from 300 feet south of I-94 to 300 feet north of I-94, and reconstruction of Rock Lake Road from 350 feet south of I-94 to 350 feet north of I-94. Construction activities will include grading, asphalt paving, concrete masonry bridges, concrete barrier, beam guard, restoration, pavement marking, and signing.

Traffic impacts/detours
Traffic on I-94 westbound will be shifted on to temporary lanes; two lanes of through traffic will remain open with the exception of a few occasions of off peak/nighttime hour lane closures.
Traffic on I-39/90 eastbound will continue to use the existing travel lanes at all times.
Newville Road and Rock Lake Road will be closed to through traffic. No detour will be provided for vehicular traffic on Newville Road or Rock Lake Road.
