Project overview

The project will replace two bridges on WIS 11 over the Shullsburg Branch near Shullsburg in Lafayette County. Bridge B-33-0825 is a 70-year-old structure located near Johnson Road west of Shullsburg and will be replaced with a new bridge. Bridge B-33-0826 is an 82-year-old structure located near North Judgement Street on the north side of Shullsburg and will be replaced with a new bridge.

Traffic impacts/detours

WIS 11 will be closed to traffic during the construction of the new bridges. A detour using WIS 11 to WIS 80 to WIS 81 to WIS 23 will be used while the bridges are closed. It is anticipated that one bridge will be constructed at a time and that both bridges will be completed in the 2025 construction season.
