WIS 131 (Sunny Ridge Rd to Pleasant St), Wauzeka to Soldiers Grove - Crawford County
Project overview
The project on WIS 131 will consist of a mill and relay of the existing pavement and then HMA pavement overlay of the WIS 131 roadway with 3.5-Inch asphaltic pavement. The existing shoulder will also be paved to a variable 1ft to 4ft width with a 1ft gravel shoulder outside the paved limit. Curb and gutter will be added in rural sections to improve drainage. Guard rail will be replaced to meet current standards. The urban section in the Village of Soldiers Grove, WIS 131 will be reconstructed per typical sections with 12ft lanes, 4ft shoulders, new curb and gutter, storm sewer and sidewalk. ADA compliance will be improved at intersections by upgrading existing curb ramps to meet current ADA guidelines.

Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 131 will be closed to through traffic. Access to local properties will remain open. The proposed detour route will utilize WIS 60 and US 61 (see detour route map in Public Involvement Meeting handout).
