Release date: February 15, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $7 million contract to reconstruct US 12 between County M and Buckingham Road in Jefferson County. Construction is scheduled to begin March 6, 2023, and will be completed near the end of 2023. Rock Road Companies Inc. is the prime contractor for this project.

The highway will be closed to through traffic during construction and detoured using WIS 26 to WIS 59. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses along the project corridor.

A meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. to discuss the upcoming construction schedule and traffic impacts. The meeting will be held at the Town of Koshkonong Town Hall, W5609 Star School Rd, Fort Atkinson.
