Release date: March 21, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $2 million contract to reconstruct WIS 92 between County G and WIS 69 near Mount Vernon, Dane County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin Monday, March 27 on tree clearing.

Payne and Dolan is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to extend the pavement service life by replacing the roadway with a new asphalt surface, existing beam guard will be replaced as well as deteriorating culverts along the project corridor.

WIS 92 will remain open to traffic for the duration of construction with a short, weeklong closure during culvert replacement.

Project completion is scheduled for late July 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
