Governor Evers approves WIS 113 improvements, Dane County

Release date: April 5, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $9.8 million contract to reconstruct WIS 113 between Knutson Drive in Madison and WIS 19 in Waunakee in Dane County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin April 10.

Michel’s Road & Stone, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to replace deteriorating pavement along the 3.4-mile-long project, new traffic signals will be installed at the River Road intersection and Arboretum Drive/Bong Road intersection will be reconstructed into a single lane roundabout.

During construction, WIS 113 will be closed and detoured for the duration of construction. Detour will utilize US 151, I-39/90/94, and WIS 19.

Project completion is scheduled for September 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
