Governor Evers approves WIS 60 improvements, Crawford County

Release date: April 17, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $7 million contract to reconstruct WIS 60 between E junction old Highway 60 in Bridgeport and Kickapoo River bridges in Boscobel, Crawford County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin April 24, 2023.

Iverson Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to resurface 10.9 miles of WIS 60 between Bridgeport and Boscobel. Additional improvements include new pavement markings, storm and sanitary sewer and updated curb ramps.

During construction, WIS 60 will be closed and detour starting April 24 through August 31. Detour will utilize US 18, US 61, and WIS 60. WIS 60 will be open to traffic with lane closures August 31 to mid-October.

Project completion is scheduled for mid-October 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
