Governor Evers approves WIS 33 improvements, Juneau and Sauk counties

Release date: May 24, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $9.4 million contract to resurface WIS 33 between Village of Wonewoc South limits and WIS 23 in the Juneau and Sauk counties. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin May 30.

D.L. Gasser Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to resurface WIS 33, replace several culverts, reconstruct sidewalk curb ramps, add centerline rumble strips and pavement markings.

During construction, WIS 33 will remain open to traffic under flagging operations.

Project completion is scheduled for September 30, 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
