The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), in partnership with the City of Milwaukee, will host a pair of public involvement meetings to share progress and receive feedback on the National Avenue (WIS 59) project. The proposed project would rebuild W. National Avenue (WIS 59), between 1st Street and 39th Street, to improve safety for all modes of transportation.

These meetings will be held in an open-house format with maps and other materials showing design alternatives available for viewing. Project representatives will be present to discuss the project on an individual basis.
The meeting facility is transit accessible via Route 18 and is wheelchair accessible. Deaf or hard of hearing persons needing assistance may contact the WisDOT project representative listed below via the Wisconsin Telecommunication Relay System (dial 711). Those who would like an interpreter present at the meeting can also contact the WisDOT project representative. To allow time for arranging assistance, please call several working days prior to the meeting.
