Governor Evers approves WIS 21 improvements, Monroe County

Release date: June 12, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $3.5 million contract to resurface WIS 21 between Eaton Avenue and the Juneau County Line in Tomah, Monroe County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin June 19, 2023.

Mathy Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to resurface 9.2 miles of WIS 21. During construction, WIS 21 will remain open to traffic under flagging operations and single lane closures.

Project completion is scheduled for August 2023. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
