To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $15.6 million contract for improvements along US 18 (Bluemound Road), from I-94 to the east Waukesha County line (roughly 124th Street), near Brookfield in Waukesha County.
The project will be completed in two phases and is scheduled to begin the week of July 10 and continue through fall 2023, with remaining work resuming in 2024. Stark Pavement Corporation is the prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:
Project Improvements:
- Resurfacing 5 miles of roadway
- Replacing existing traffic signals at the US 18 (Bluemound Road) intersections with Underwood Crossing Parkway and 124th Street
- Replacing pedestrian accommodations
What to Expect:
- Construction from east of Moorland Road to the east Waukesha County line is scheduled from early July to fall 2023.
