Governor Evers approves WIS 113 improvements, Columbia County

Release date: September 18, 2023

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $2,769,178 contract to improve WIS 113 between WIS 60 in Lodi and WIS 188 in Merrimac, Columbia County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin Monday, September 25.

Mashuda Contractors, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve safety and traffic operations by mill and overlaying the current pavement as well as reconstructing the County V intersection, replacing curb ramps and pavement markings.

During construction, WIS 113 will remain open under flagging operations. During County V intersection work, WIS 113 will be closed and detoured utilizing WIS 60 and WIS 188.

Project completion is scheduled for June 2024. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
