The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss improvements on WIS 80 from Lemonweir River bridge in New Lisbon to WIS 58 in Necedah, Juneau County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a brief presentation at 5:00 p.m., at New Lisbon Community Center, 110 Welch Prairie Road, New Lisbon. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
Some of the needs identified along this segment of WIS 80 include:
- The pavement structure is deteriorating.
- Two bridge structures are in need of repair.
- Pedestrian curb ramps do not meet current ADA standards.
- The existing guardrail in some locations is out of date or near the end of their service life.
