​​Loc​ation

WIS 98 from WIS 73 south of Greenwood in the town of Eaton east to Helm Street on the western edge of Loyal, all in Clark County.

Overvie​w

The existing pavement and culverts are showing signs of deterioration. To address this, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:

  • Replace existing concrete pavement, base material and geo-grid in poor soil areas.
  • Make joint and centerline repairs where necessary.
  • Clean or repair culverts to improve drainage.
  • Replace pavement markings.

Schedul​e

Construction is currently scheduled for 2026.

  • If funding becomes available, construction could occur as early as: 2025.

​Traffic I​mpacts

During construction, motorists can expect:

  • Single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations or temporary traffic signals for the majority of work.
  • Single-lane traffic controlled by temporary signals during concrete replacement in areas showing high distress.
  • Access for emergency services and property owners to be maintained.
