Project Overview
This project will improve the I-43 North-South Freeway from WIS 60 to WIS 32 in Ozaukee County. This is a pavement resurfacing project that will remove the existing asphalt pavement and replace it with 5 inches of new asphalt pavement. This will extend the service life of the existing roadway and improve the pavement condition.
This project will also replace the cable barrier within the project limits to update them to current standards, as well as line the culvert to the east of I-43 under Arrowhead Road to provide a longer service life.
Traffic Impacts
This project will have long-term shoulder closures for cable barrier replacement and culvert lining, and short-term overnight full closures with detours for base patching and paving.
Schedule
Construction tentatively scheduled for 2024.
