US 14, Bohmann Drive to County O, Richland Center in Richland County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is designing plans for an improvement project on US 14 between Bohmann Drive and County O in Richland Center. Due to the poor condition of the existing pavement, the project has recently been re-scoped to a full pavement replacement.
Project improvements include:
- Concrete pavement replacement
- Update curb ramps
- Replace traffic signals at Bohmann Drive and County O intersections
- Replacing the turns lanes at Peebles and Starlight with two-way left-turn lanes
- Guardrail replacement
- Pavement markings
Schedule
- October 18, 2023 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2021 - Public involvement and comment
- Fall/winter 2023 - Public Involvement Meeting for new project scope
- Summer 2025 - Design complete
- 2026 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts
The highway will remain open during construction with traffic reduced to a single lane in each direction.
- Limited traffic stops may occur using flagging operations.
- Periodic left-turn closures will occur at select intersections, with traffic routed to nearby intersections for access to side roads and businesses.
