US 61 (County U to WIS 133), between Lancaster and Dickeyville - Grant County
Project overview
This is a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) to provide safety improvements for this portion of US 61 to create a two-way-left-turn lane (TWLTL) and add dedicated left turn lanes at the County U and WIS 133 intersections. This will be done by putting down a chip seal to cover the existing pavement marking and re-marking the existing surface. This safety project is designed to reduce rear-end crashes caused by vehicles waiting to turn left due to the numerous access points along the length of the project. This project is located in the Village of Potosi.
Additional improvements include:
- Crack or Spot Repairs
- Filling joints as needed
