WIS 130 (Garthwaite Lane to Spring Valley Road), Lone Rock - Iowa County

Project overview

The purpose of WIS 130 project is to realign the existing substandard horizontal curve. This location has experienced 11 roadway departure crashes between 2014 and 2018. The proposed scope of work includes improving roadway safety by realigning the road to replace the curve with a larger radius curve. This project will be constructed in conjunction with the resurfacing project in 2026.

Traffic impacts/detours

WIS 130 will be closed to through traffic and detoured during construction. The signed detour route will follow WIS 23, WIS 60/US 14 and WIS 130. Access for residents, businesses, property owners and emergency services will be maintained at all times during the project. Any hard closures will be communicated with nearby properties during construction.
