The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is responsible for helping customers obtain
quality driver license and registration products and promoting transportation safety. The DMV has more than 80 locations around the state. We serve the general public, motor carriers, car dealers, driving schools and law enforcement.

Customer service by processing materials: DMV has extensive online services and these customer service representatives handle mailed in or online applications for vehicle titles and other products. The DMV processing opportunities are located in the Hill Farms State Office Building on Madison’s west side.
Paid training, great benefits
Starting pay is typically $20.46/hour with potential future increases, such as +$1.40/hour after one-year of satisfactory performance.
Professional growth and reclassification to the Advanced level is typically after 18 months of service, and receives at least $23.93/hour. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current state employees will be determined in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan. All positions offer paid on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement. Some positions may require occasional evening or weekend hours.

- Start with 104 hours ( = over 2 ½ weeks) of vacation time + 4½ days of personal time + 9 paid holidays
- Additional 5 days of vacation earned after 5 years of state employment, with additional increases every 5 years
