Public input requested for I-90, Tomah, in Monroe County

Release date: October 17, 2023

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public input on improvements along I-90, from County M to US 12, in Tomah, Monroe County. Construction is currently scheduled for 2026.

A presentation and materials detailing the I-90 project are available to view on the project website at I-90 Monroe County (wisconsindot.gov).

The project will address deteriorating pavement by patching concrete base and replacing concrete along I-90. Additionally, four bridges along the project limits will be repaired and shoulders will be resurfaced with asphalt pavement.

I-90 will be reduced to one lane in each direction. WIS 131 will remain open to traffic. Ramps will be closed during off-peak hours.

All persons interested in the project are encouraged to view the website and provide input by contacting project staff via email, postal mail, or phone. Your comments will assist WisDOT in developing a project that will serve the needs of the traveling public and community. Your input is welcome and appreciated throughout the design process. Questions and comments can be directed to WisDOT Project Manager Brian Meyer at brian.meyer@dot.wi.gov, (608) 789-5676, or mailed to the WisDOT Southwest Region, 3550 Mormon Coulee Road, WI 54601.
