National Transportation Knowledge Network (NTKN)
The National Transportation Knowledge Network (NTKN) is a voluntary alliance of transportation organizations, which supports a network of transportation information professionals, who collaborate to expand, improve access to, and preserve the domain of transportation knowledge. The purpose of NTKN is to coordinate with transportation research centers, transportation libraries, information providers, and technical assistance centers to develop a comprehensive transportation information and knowledge network that supports the activities of its members -
National Transportation Library (NTL)
The National Transportation Library (NTL) is a repository of U.S. DOT transportation information, serves as a portal transportation data and provides library services to U.S. DOT employees. NTL’s mission is to maintain and facilitate access to statistical and other information needed for transportation decision-making at the federal, state, and local levels and to coordinate with public and private transportation libraries and information providers to improve information sharing among the transportation community. -
Special Libraries Association Transportation Division
The Transportation Division promotes the exchange of knowledge and information among individuals and organizations interested in the development, control and use of information resources in transportation. More than 165 librarians from universities, corporations, professional associations and regional, state, provincial and national government agencies and organizations make up the Transportation Division. The Division is international in scope and interests. -
TRB Information Services Committee (B0002)
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Information Services Committee serves as a sounding board and feedback mechanism to ensure the quality of the Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS).

Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO)
The goal of MAASTO is to foster the development, operation, and maintenance of an integrated and balanced transportation system that adequately serves the transportation needs of the member states. MAASTO consists of ten states primarily in the Midwest including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
