The DTSD Innovation Program is dedicated to identifying opportunities that generate efficiencies and improve policies, practices and procedures.
Three major focal areas of the innovation program include the rapid identification and adoption of innovative best practices, modernization of IT tools and data systems, and creation of a culture of innovation that prioritizes continuous process improvement.
The innovation program leverages nationally recognized information through Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Every Day Counts (EDC) program, the Wisconsin Highway Research Program (WHRP), the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), Transportation Engineering and Road Research Alliance (TERRA) and Transportation Pooled Fund Studies.
