that focuses on transportation areas related to economic development (business/labor), safety, shared resources, and infrastructure and mobility.
Purpose
The task force was established through the partnership agreement and serves as a policy advisory group for WisDOT.
Members
Task force members consist of WisDOT statewide and regional tribal liaisons and other agency employees, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and representatives appointed by each respective tribal government.
Meetings
The task force meets on a bi-monthly basis and has developed numerous tribal initiatives such as the tribal transportation safety program, tribal business and labor development capacity building project, long term transportation planning consultation and multiple training opportunities.
