Location
WIS 128 from WIS 170 in Glenwood City to WIS 64 the town of Forest, all in St. Croix County.
Overview
The pavements and culverts along this stretch of WIS 128 are showing signs of deterioration. To address these and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:
- Remove a portion of the existing pavement and place new pavement.
- Replace or extend culverts.
- Clean ditches.
- Upgrade sidewalk curb ramps in Glenwood City to meet Americans With Disabilities Act standards.
- Replace guardrail.
Real Estate
- Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated for culvert replacement and grading work associated with guardrail and curb ramp work.
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2028.
- Work could occur as early as 2027 if funding becomes available.
Traffic Impacts
During construction:
- WIS 128 will remain open to through traffic during the removal and replacement of pavement, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging.
- WIS 128 will be closed and detoured during culvert replacement.
