Location
The proposed improvement project is on WIS 37, starting at WIS 88 in the town of Mondovi and ending at US 10 in the city of Mondovi, all in Buffalo County.
Overview
The pavement is deteriorated and nearing the end of its service, and this stretch of WIS 37 has a pattern of run-off-the-road crashes. To address both, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing the following improvements:
- Replacing the existing asphalt with concrete pavement.
- Installing new storm sewer.
- Widening the shoulders.
- Installing shoulder rumble strips.
- Replacing guardrail, sidewalk, curb and gutter.
- Cleaning and performing maintenance on culverts.
In addition, the city plans to install new water main, sanitary sewer and lighting.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has created the In This Together program to help businesses navigate construction.
Schedule - Updated
Construction currently is scheduled for 2027.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 37 will be closed to through traffic and detoured, but access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
- Detour route: WIS 88, WIS 121, WIS 93 and US 10.
