Project overvie​w

The existing facilities have reached the end of their service lives. The current needs include: Roadway deficiencies including pavement deterioration and ramp geometry. Insufficient parking capacity for the current needs of commercial motor vehicles. Facility modernization including improved restroom facilities, building mechanicals, ADA accessibility, and aesthetics.

The improvement project will include:

• Reconstructing the building to a new modern rest area building. The new building will include family-assisted restrooms and be ADA compliant
• Construction of new maintenance garage
• Reconstructing the parking lots and ramp roadways

Traffic imp​acts/detours

During construction the site will be closed to the traveling public. Motorists can expect to encounter short-term single lane closures during off-peak hours along I-90 to complete the exit and entrance ramp connections to the interstate.
