WIS 30 (Fair Oaks Avenue to I-39/90/94 interchange), Madison - Dane County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is in the process of developing plans for the repair of the WIS 30 westbound bridge over Fair Oaks Ave and pavement rehabilitation to the pavement along WIS 30. The bridge deck requires a concrete overlay to extend its useful life, and the abutment backwalls are showing extensive deterioration requiring replacement. The pavement is exhibiting extensive gapping and areas of cracking. Portions of ramp gores and shoulder asphalt also need to be milled and replaced.

WIS 30 will be open to traffic during construction, but construction operations will be staged with nightly single lane closures along WIS 30 to minimize impacts to the traveling public.
- Multiple ramps will experience short term closures ranging from 3 – 21 days, those ramps include:
- Stoughton Rd Westbound ON ramp, WIS 30 Westbound Aux Lane to Fair Oaks, Fair Oaks Westbound OFF ramp
- Stoughton Rd Eastbound OFF ramp, Thompson Dr Eastbound OFF ramp
- Stoughton Rd Westbound OFF ramp, Thompson Dr Westbound ON ramp
- Detours will be used for the following closures:
- Stoughton Rd Eastbound OFF ramp
- Stoughton Rd Westbound OFF ramp
- Stoughton Rd Westbound ON ramp
