US 12 (South of I-94 to WIS 25) and WIS 25 (I-94 to County D), city of Menomonie and Menomonie to town of Tainter - Dunn County

Location

US 12 from just south of the I-94 overpass to the WIS 25 intersection in Menomonie and WIS 25 from the I-94 bridge in Menomonie north to County D in the town of Tainter, all in Dunn County.

Overview

The existing pavement on these segments of US 12 and WIS 25 are showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the WisDOT project will include:

  • On US 12:
    • Milling off a portion of the existing pavement and overlaying the roadway with asphalt.
    • Upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to Americans With Disabilities Act standards.
  • On WIS 25:
    • Removing a portion of the existing pavement from the bridge over I-94 to the railroad bridge and placing new asphalt pavement.
    • Recycling a portion of the existing pavement, mixing it with a stabilizing agent, relaying it and placing new asphalt from the railroad bridge to County D.
    • Adjusting or replacing guardrail.
    • Upgrading pedestrian curb ramps and traffic signals.
    • Make the following upgrades at the County BB East, County F and Northline Road intersection:
      • Adding left-turn lanes on WIS 25.
      • Adjusting the angle of the intersection.
      • Extending drainage pipes.
      • Updating pavement markings and the traffic island.
